The mechanism of rational forest management on the basis of the forest resource rent

The paper presents calculations of the regional component of standing timber rates on a rental basis. The costs are differentiated by the type of felling, areas of timber use, markets taking into account the environmental restrictions by case study of the Republic of Buryatia. The authors offer a scheme of formation and distribution of payments for timber in the conditions of decentralized forest management.
