Study of marine fouling in the Institute of Marine Biology FEB RAS

Some data on the problem of marine fouling are presented, and its urgency and a scale of the phenomenon are shown. The history of study of marine fouling in the Institute of Marine Biology FEB RAS is described in the paper. Main trends of study of marine fouling in the Far Eastern seas of Russia are indicated. Estimation of outlooks of the further study is given.
