Regional factors and conditions influencing the formation of forest rent in the region are discussed in the article. The authors show the results of the analysis of forestry and forest economic information about the forest fund, timber market and other data. Based on them, forest economic regions and subregions are determined in the territory of the Republic of Buryatia, and their characteristics are given.
