Dr. Wenchao Xue is an Environmental Scientist and Engineer with a doctorate in urban engineering and over ten years of experience in water pollution control, water and wastewater treatment technologies, emerging contaminants and microplastic pollution control in aquatic environments, and sustainable watershed management. Dr. Xue is meanwhile the Founding Director of the AIT Belt and Road Research Center (BRRC). She has extensive experience in leading regional and international cooperation and projects to support sustainable development in the Belt and Road region. As Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Principal Investigator (CO-PI), Dr. Xue has secured over 35 million THB in project funding, collaborating on national and international projects with both public and private sector involvement. Dr. Xue’s commitment to research and knowledge dissemination is reflected in an H-index of 18, with 49 peer-reviewed publications indexed on SCOPUS.
