Completed studies at the Faculty of Biology, Universitas Nasional in Jakarta and obtained a doctoral degree in Biology from the University of Indonesia. Since 1988 until now, he has been a lecturer at the Department of Biology at Universitas Nasional (UNAS). Apart from teaching assignments, he is also actively involved in field biology activities related to biodiversity conservation; biodiversity and primate research activities; environmental education and nature conservation; and community service around the conservation area. He has written articles on the topics of biodiversity and primates in several reputable international journals and accredited national journals.
