Susantha Jayasinghe

Mr. Susantha Jayasinghe is an expert in meteorology, climatology, applied geoinformation, and ICT. His professional experience includes meteorological and climatological modeling, forecasting, and early warning systems. He is skilled in data processing, numerical weather prediction, post-processing, analysis, visualization, and data access from various sources. Additionally, he has experience in configuring and installing hardware and software and implementing forecasting and early warning systems for National Meteorological and Hydrological Services.

Mr. Jayasinghe has successfully executed projects on extreme event modeling, risk assessments, knowledge portal development, and tools for geospatial data sharing. He has also designed and implemented ICT and computing infrastructure to process, monitor, and exchange meteorological and hydrological data, along with scientific modeling and analysis for weather forecasting and early warning systems. His current focus areas include climate risk management and climate change adaptation.
