Dr. Sudeep Thakuri is a Climate Scientist, focusing his research work on cryosphere, climate change and environmental issues in the Himalaya. Currently, he is serving as the Dean of Faculty of Science and Technology, and Faculty of Engineering, Mid-West University, Nepal and Associate Professor of Environmental Science at Tribhuvan University. He holds a PhD in Natural and Environmental Sciences with specialization in climate change from the University of Milan, Italy. He has expertise in the areas of climate dynamics, climate analysis and modelling, GHG emissions, cryosphere and hydrological processes. He had previously worked as an Expert with different national and international organizations, including UN Food and Agriculture Organization, WWF Nepal, University of Milan, Institute of Water Research – National Research Council, and Ev-K2-CNR Association of Italy in various roles. He has published around 100 international and national scientific articles, reports, and book chapters.
