Rajendra KC

Director General, Forest research and Training Centre, Ministry of Forests and Environment, Nepal

Dr KC has extensive experience in forestry administration and research in Nepal, starting his career as a Forest Officer in 1998. He has served as District Forest Officer in various districts and as Provincial Secretary in Lumbini Province. His significant contributions include roles as Director General of the Department of Forests and Soil Conservation and the Department of Plant Resources. Previously, Dr KC served as the National Focal Point for several Multilateral Environment Agreements, including CBD, BRS, GTI and CITES. He holds an MSc Tropical and International Forestry and PhD in Forest Ecology and Management from Georg-August University, Goettingen, Germany.
