Dr. Rackhun Son is an Assistant Professor at Pukyong National University in Busan, South Korea. He holds a PhD and MS in Earth Sciences and Environmental Engineering from the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology. Dr. Son’s research focuses on climate extremes, climate change, the carbon cycle, and the application of AI in environmental sciences. Prior to his current position, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry in Germany and interned at the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center in Thailand.
