Dr. Narendra N. Das is a leading expert in remote sensing, hydrology, and agricultural modeling. He is a Science Team Member for the NASA’s SMAP and NISAR missions, contributing to advancements in soil moisture monitoring and radar remote sensing. Dr. Das specializes in microwave remote sensing, soil physics, and hydrologic and crop modeling, focusing on optimizing soil and water resource management. He is a faculty member at Michigan State University (MSU) and actively develops low-cost sensors for environmental applications. Before joining MSU, he worked as a Research Scientist at the NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). His research integrates satellite data and AI-driven analytics to enhance sustainable agriculture and climate resilience, making significant contributions to Earth science and resource management.
