Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain is a professor at the Institute of Forestry and Environmental Sciences, University of Chittagong (IFESCU). He is an honorary Collaborative Professor at Kanazawa University, Japan since 2015. He led the World Bank-funded Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) at IFESCU (2012-15). He collaborates with several Japanese Universities on sustainability and natural resources-related issues. He is the secretary of the Bangladesh chapter of the Society for Conservation Biology and is a member of the Institute of Foresters Bangladesh (IFB). As an advisor, he collaborates on ecosystem restoration initiatives in Bangladesh with local and international entities.
