Dr. Mirza Hasanuzzaman is a Professor of Agronomy at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He received his Ph.D. Ehime University, Japan. Later, he completed his postdoctoral research in the Center of Molecular Biosciences (COMB), University of the Ryukyus, Okinawa, Japan. Subsequently, he became an Adjunct Senior Researcher at the University of Tasmania. Prof. Hasanuzzaman has over 300 Scopus-indexed publications and among them more than 250 in the Web of Science. He has edited over 20 books and written over 30 book chapters on important aspects of plant physiology, plant stress responses, and environmental problems in relation to plant species.
His publications are cited over 27000 times as per Scopus with an h-index of 84. He is an Editor and a reviewer for more than 50 peer-reviewed international journals and the recipient of ‘Publons Peer Review Award 2017, 2018, and 2019’. He is an active member of 40 professional societies and a fellow of the Bangladesh Academy of Sciences (BAS), the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), the Royal Society of Biology, the International Society of Environmental Botanists, and a foreign fellow of The Society for Science of Climate Change and Sustainable Environment.
