Kyoung-Woong Kim

Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology

Kyoung-Woong Kim received his Ph.D. from the Imperial College London in the U.K.. He is a Professor of Environmental Geochemistry at School of Earth Sciences and Environmental Engineering since 1997 and Director of International Environmental Research Institute (IERI) at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) in Republic of Korea. He is interested in the remediation of contaminated soil/groundwater and has donated many GDM (Gravity Driven Membrane) water filtration systems. Prof. Kim has got more than 250 papers at the international SCI journal and received numerous awards such as Prime Minister Commendation for Scientific Achievement. He is currently editorial board member at several international journals including Scientific Reports and Environ. Geochem. & Health.
