Kaluthanthiri Patabendi Sepali Darshika De Silva

Assistant Director, Ministry of Environment, Sri Lanka

Mrs Kaluthanthiri Patabendi Sepali Darshika De Silva is an Assistant Director for Natural Resources Management at the Ministry of Environment in Sri Lanka. With a background in Geography (BA) and Natural Resources Management (MSc), both from the University of Peradeniya, and an MSc in Energy and Environment Policy from Korea University, she has extensive expertise in environmental policy and management. In her role, she is responsible for identifying policy gaps and leading projects related to environmental conservation. She also contributes to the Ministry’s policy analysis task group and has practical experience developing project proposals for Green Climate Fund (GCF) and Global Environment Facility (GEF) initiatives. Additionally, Mrs De Silva has worked on donor-funded environmental projects and has published a policy analysis study on the challenges and opportunities of solar energy applications in Sri Lanka.
