Iruviman Virajith Kuruppu

Wayamba University of Sri Lanka

Mr Iruviman Virajith Kuruppu is a researcher and academic at the Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, specializing in agro-biodiversity and agro-food value chain development. He holds an MBA from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and a BSc in Agribusiness Management from Wayamba University. With over six years of experience, Mr Kuruppu has contributed to several national and international projects focused on enhancing the agribusiness sector in Sri Lanka. Notable among his work are projects on improving the productivity and sustainability of fisheries in Sri Lankan reservoirs and food flow analysis for key commodities, supported by ACIAR and FAO, respectively. His research interests also include human-wildlife conflict, ecosystem services, and the role of agro-biodiversity in sustainable farming systems, as reflected in his numerous publications in international journals and symposia.
