Dinkar Kayastha

Department of Hydrology and Meteorology

Dinkar Kayastha is a Senior Divisional Hydrologist at the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM), Government of Nepal, with over 20 years of expertise in hydrometeorology. He currently leads the Snow Survey & Glacial Lake Section as well as the Remote Sensing and GIS Section, overseeing hydrological assessments and high-altitude field monitoring across Nepal. Previously, he headed DHM’s Karnali Basin Office in western Nepal. He holds Master’s degrees in meteorology from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, and hydrology from IIT Roorkee, India.
