Balram Ambade

National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur

Dr Balram Ambade is working as an Associate Professor and Head in the Department of Chemistry at the National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India. He has completed his PhD in 2010, He was started teaching in various reputed Engineering Colleges in India. He visited Finland for his further research. In October 2011 he joined IISER Bhopal as Post-Doc. Research Associate with Professor Ramya Sunder Raman where he worked in the area of “Fine particulate matter over the ecologically sensitive zone”. In April 2012 he left IISER Bhopal and join NIT Jamshedpur as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry. Since then, his group is actively engaged in the analysis of Aerosols and Atmospheric particles & reactions, Black carbon and Climate change, Air pollution, PAHs in the atmosphere, Uranium & heavy metals in groundwater, and Environmental chemistry. His research group is actively involved in the Atmospheric Chemistry & Environmental Chemistry related recent work.
