Abhishek B. Shirodkar

Intern, Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research

Mr. Abhishek Shirodkar is working as an intern with the APN Secretariat, starting in February 2025. His main work areas involve supporting the Knowledge Management and Scientific Affairs team. He is currently a Master’s student at the Asian Institute of Technology, specializing in satellite remote sensing of water quality and agriculture. His research focuses on understanding the uncertainties of water quality under human impact by developing field-validated satellite image processing for better management and informed decision-making.

Mr. Abhishek graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, with a major in agricultural water resource management. He is passionate about conducting research on developing advanced adaptation strategies for climate-resilient agriculture, focusing on improved water management and addressing nutritional challenges posed by climate variability.
