Raman Solanki

National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand

Dr Raman Solanki was a post-doctoral fellow at the Atmospheric Research Unit (ARU) of the National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (NARIT) situated in the mountainous region of Chiang Mai, northern Thailand.  His main research interest is understanding the atmospheric boundary layer structure using ground-based and satellite atmospheric LiDARs, as well as balloon-borne radiosonde measurements. He is currently at the State Key Laboratory of Severe Weather at the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences in the Haidian District of Beijing in China. He earned his doctorate degree at the University of Delhi in India and was a research scholar in atmospheric science at the Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences (ARIES) in Naintal, India.
