With over two decades of dedication to environmental policy and sustainable development, Mr. Leejae Jang currently serves as the Director of the International Cooperation Division at the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Korea.
Mr. Jang’s career in public service is distinguished by a succession of influential leadership roles, underscoring his strong commitment to green innovation and carbon neutrality. Most recently, he served as Director of the Presidential Commission on Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth (2024–2025). Prior to that, he held positions as Director of the Global Green Project Team (2023–2024), Director of the Green Industry Innovation Division (2021–2023) and Director of the Climate Economy Division (2019–2021) at the Ministry of Environment.
He holds a Master’s (1999) and a Bachelor’s (1997) degree in Environmental Engineering from Ajou University, which has provided a solid technical foundation for his lifelong work in environmental governance.
