Mohd Hisham bin Mohd Anip

Dr Mohd Hisham Bin Mohd Anip, who joined the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MET Malaysia) in 1994 as a Meteorological Officer, is the 11th Director General of MET Malaysia. He obtained a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Mathematics from the University of Malaya in 1993. He completed his master’s and doctorate studies at the University of Columbia-Missouri, USA, in 2005 and 2012, respectively. With over 30 years of experience, he has extensive knowledge in various meteorological fields, including weather forecasting, aviation meteorology, climatology, disaster management, information technology, and technical training. He holds his current position as the Director General of the Malaysian Meteorological Department on 28 October 2024.
