Keiichi Sato

Asia Center for Air Pollution Research

Dr Keiichi Sato is a distinguished researcher and the Head of the Atmospheric Research Department at the Asia Center for Air Pollution Research (ACAP). Dr Sato has made significant contributions to air pollution monitoring and research with his specialisation in Atmospheric Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry.

As the National Coordinator for the Acid Deposition Monitoring Network in East Asia (EANET), Dr Sato plays a crucial role in managing air concentration monitoring and promoting studies on wet and dry depositions of air pollutants in the East Asian region. He has successfully led joint research projects with various East Asian countries, such as Korea, China, and Thailand, focusing on atmospheric pollutant observations and modeling studies.

Before his position at ACAP, Dr Sato served as an Assistant Professor at Chuo University, where he provided valuable instruction to undergraduate and graduate students in laboratory classes and research projects. He also held a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the National Institute for Environmental Studies, where he researched nitrogen compounds and black carbon monitoring in the atmosphere.
