Tetsuya Takemi

Kyoto University

Dr Tetsuya Takemi is a professor at Disaster Prevention Research Institute (DPRI), Kyoto University. After obtaining a PhD degree from Kyoto University in March 1999, he became an assistant professor at the Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University in 1999 and moved to the Tokyo Institute of Technology as a lecturer in 2004. He became an associate professor at DPRI, Kyoto University in 2007. He was a visiting scientist at National Center for Atmospheric Research in the United States during 2001-2002. His major is mesoscale and microscale meteorology and its applied disciplines, and has been involved in research projects on climate change impact assessment.
